At Peak Physical Therapy our bike fits are unique because our bike fitters are physical therapists. We specialize at looking at the body and are able to assess your strength, flexibility, balance, range of motion, coordination, and your past / current medical history. This is very different than bike shops who know bikes, but not bodies.
We focus our bike fits towards your goals. It may be to increase comfort, decrease aches or pains, improve efficiency or improve handling.
To help us do this we use a Computrainer. This specialized bike trainer attaches to your bike and analyzes pedal stroke efficiency, power output, cadence, right vs left leg efficiency and output. It can help us determine what position is the most efficient for you. Also, it can look at whether one leg is working more than another or if you use your hamstrings and quads equally.
In summary, we spend a lot of time looking at you and meeting your needs. We fit the bike to you.
