Garrett earned his Masters Degree in Physical Therapy from Samuel Merritt College in 2000.
He received his Bachelors Degree in Biology from California Polytechnic State University,
San Luis Obispo.
Garrett has focused his practice primarily on the general orthopedic
and sports medicine population. Currently, he is involved with the San Jose Sharks as a physical therapy consultant. With 18 years of triathlon racing experience competing in all distances, including
Ironman Wisconsin 2005 and Ironman Coeur dAlene 2007, Garrett uses his training
and racing knowledge to help treat athletes of all levels, from novice to professional.
He is also adept at bicycle fit evaluations and correction through the use of
biomechanical analysis of efficiency. Garrett has worked on assessing office workstations
to create ergonomic efficiency.
Garrett is also a certified strength and conditioning specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Committed to broadening and diversifying
his knowledge, Garrett's continuing education include deep tissue body work, muscle
energy technique and biomechanical analysis for runners and golfers.
In his free time,
Garrett enjoys training for triathlons, golfing and snowboarding.
